Who We Are at Travelingwithcoler

Home family New York

TravelingwithColer is a traveling family that goes beyond the typical tourist guides. The blog’s name was chosen by our youngest son, who uses the pseudonym Coler when he started this project at just 14 years old. Every city we write about has been explored by us — with two teenagers in tow, tight schedules, missed flights, and unforgettable moments. This isn’t just another travel blog. We want it to be your practical, honest, and real gateway to cities like New York, London, and Porto, with guides you can actually use on your family trips.

Why This Travel Blog?

Traveling with the family doesn’t just create stories your kids will remember, it also gives you chaotic moments, laughter, and a bunch of imperfect memories… Because nothing says ‘unforgettable vacation’ like shouting ‘Don’t get lost!’ in the middle of an airport, or explaining for the fifth time why there’s no wifi. And those ‘imperfect’ memories? Sure, they’re as unique as the time everyone forgot the charger and we spent three days begging for one.”

A little slice of reality! 😅

Objectivity

In this travel blog, we share — with no filters — what each corner of the cities we’ve visited really offers. If we find something interesting, we’ll explain it with reliable, well-sourced historical facts. And if a technical detail adds value —yes, we’re engineers and a bit geeky— we’ll include it too, as long as it makes sense for curious travelers.

Personal opinion

But above all, we share our personal experience. We travel as a family, and each of us sees things differently. What one loves, another might find boring… that’s life with teenagers! And that’s exactly why we believe our opinions can help you if you’re traveling with kids: there’s no single truth here, just different ways to enjoy a destination.
